پاکستانی امریکن کاشف حسین کی بطور ڈپٹی پبلک ایڈوکیٹ نیویارک سٹی تقرری کی ہیٹرک

نیویارک ( محسن ظہیر سے ) نیویارک سٹی کے پبلک ایڈوکیٹ جمانی ولیمز نے تیسری بار پاکستانی امریکن کاشف حسین کو ڈپٹی پبلک ایڈوکیٹ نیویارک سٹی برائے انفرا سٹرکچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹل جسٹس مقرر کر دیا ہے ۔کاشف حسین نے ڈپٹی پبلک ایڈوکیٹ بننے کی اپنی ہیٹرک مکمل کر لی ہے ۔ وہ پہلی بار 2019میں ، پھر2021اور سال 2025میں ڈپٹی پبلک ایڈوکیٹ مقرر ہو ئے ہیں ۔
کاشف حسین نے میکنیکل انجئیرنگ کی ہے اور ان کا مختلف اداروں میں خدمات انجام دینے کا وسیع تجربہ ہے ۔
واضح رہے کہ نیویارک سٹی کا پبلک ایڈوکیٹ آفس ، ایک نان مئیرل ایجنسی ہے جسے سٹی کے معاملات پر چیک اینڈ بیلنس رکھنے کا اہم اختیار حاصل ہے ۔
کاشف حسین نے پبلک ایڈوکیٹ جمانی ولیمز کا شکرئیہ ادا کیا کہ جنہوں نے ان پر تیسری بار اعتبار کیا اور انہیں بطور ڈپٹی پبلک ایڈوکیٹ خدمات انجام دینے کا مواقع فراہم کیا۔ پاکستانی امریکن کمیونٹی کی جانب سے بھی کاشف حسین کو ان کی تقرری پر مبارکباد دی گئی ہے ۔
یہ امر بھی قابل ذکر ہے کہ سال 2025میں الیکشن کے وقت کاشف حسین ، ڈپٹی پبلک ایڈوکیٹ تھے اور اسی حیثیت سے آئندہ چار مزید سال کے لئے اپنا کردار جار ی رکھیں گے ۔بعض حلقوں کے مطابق کاشف حسین کا نام ، سٹی انتظامیہ میں زیر غور آسکتا ہے ۔

New York: New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams has appointed Pakistani American Kashif Hussain as Deputy Public Advocate for Infrastructure and Environmental Justice for the third time, marking a rare “hat-trick” in the role.

Kashif Hussain was first appointed as Deputy Public Advocate in 2019, reappointed in 2021, and has now once again been named to the position in 2025. With this latest appointment, he will continue serving in the role for another four-year term.

An engineer by profession, Kashif Hussain holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and brings extensive experience from his service across various public and private sector institutions. His expertise in infrastructure and environmental justice has been considered a key asset within the Public Advocate’s office.

It is worth noting that the New York City Public Advocate’s Office is a non-mayoral agency with significant authority to provide checks and balances on city governance and to advocate on behalf of New Yorkers.

Expressing his gratitude, Kashif Hussain thanked Public Advocate Jumaane Williams for placing his trust in him for the third time and for giving him the opportunity to continue serving the city as Deputy Public Advocate. Members of the Pakistani American community also congratulated him on his reappointment.

Notably, during the 2025 election period, Kashif Hussain was already serving as Deputy Public Advocate and will now continue in the same capacity for the next four years. According to some observers, his name may also be under consideration for a future role within the city administration.
