پاکستانی امریکن آف ٹاؤن ہنٹ نگٹن، نیویارک (PATH) کےلئے10ہزار ڈالرز کی گرانٹ

نیویارک (محسن ظہیر) نیویارک اسٹیٹ اسمبلی کی ایشین پیسیفک امریکن (APA) ٹاسک فورس کی چیئر اسمبلی ممبر گریس لی اور اسمبلی ممبر سٹیو سٹرن نے پاکستانی امریکنز آف ٹاؤن آف ہنٹنگٹن (PATH) کے لیے 10,000 ڈالر کی ریاستی فنڈنگ کا اعلان کیا۔یہ ایوارڈ مالی سال 2025-26 کے ریاستی بجٹ میں ایشین امریکن اور پیسیفک آئی لینڈر (AAPI) نیویارکرز کے لیے تاریخی 30 ملین ڈالر کی سرمایہ کاری کا حصہ ہے، جو APA ٹاسک فورس کی جانب سے مسلسل تیسرے سال حاصل کیا گیا ہے۔
اسمبلی ممبر گریس لی نے اپنے بیان میں کہا کہ ”ایشیائی امریکن اور پیسیفک آئی لینڈر کمیونٹی کو طویل عرصے سے ریاستی بجٹ میں نظر انداز اور کم فنڈز دیے جاتے رہے ہیں۔ اس سال APA ٹاسک فورس کی چیئر کے طور پر مجھے فخر ہے کہ ہم نے اس بجٹ میں ایشیائی امریکن تنظیموں کے لیے 30 ملین ڈالر حاصل کیے، جن میں PATH کے لیے یہ گرانٹ بھی شامل ہے۔“ اسمبلیمبر گریس لی نے کہا۔
”اس فنڈنگ سے PATH ہنٹنگٹن میں مقامی پاکستانی امریکن کمیونٹی ممبران کو وسائل اور خدمات فراہم کرنے کا اپنا اہم کام جاری رکھ سکے گی۔“
اسمبلی ممبر سٹیو سٹرن نے اپنے بیان میں مزید کہا کہ ”اپنی کمیونٹی کے ریاستی نمائندے اور نیویارک اسٹیٹ ایشین پیسیفک امریکن ٹاسک فورس کے رکن کی حیثیت سے مجھے پاکستانی امریکنز آف ٹاو¿ن آف ہنٹنگٹن (PATH) کو یہ قانون ساز گرانٹ پیش کرتے ہوئے فخر ہے۔ یہ تنظیم قبولیت، تفہیم اور اتحاد کو فروغ دیتی ہے جو ہنٹنگٹن کو ایک خاص مقام بناتا ہے۔“ اسمبلیمبر سٹیو سٹرن نے مزید کہا کہ ”PATH ثقافتی پروگراموں، تعلیم اور خدمات کی حمایت کرتی ہے۔ یہ فنڈنگ تنظیم کو مزید وسیع رسائی اور زیادہ معنی خیز اثر و رسوخ فراہم کرنے میں مدد دے گی۔“

پاکستانی امریکن آف ٹاو¿ن ہنٹنگٹن (PATH)کے صدر محمد اشرف نے شکرئیہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ ”یہ انتہائی اہم گرانٹ PATH کو اپنا دائرہ کار بڑھانے اور ہنٹنگٹن کمیونٹی میں مزید ثقافتی طور پر مناسب اور جامع پروگرام چلانے کے قابل بنائے گا۔“ PATH کے صدر محمد اشرف نے چیئر وومن گریس لی، اسمبلیمبر سٹیو سٹرن اور پوری نیویارک اسٹیٹ اسمبلی APA ٹاسک فورس کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ”یہ فنڈنگ ہمارے مقامی AAPI رہائشیوں کے لیے ضروری خدمات کی حمایت کرے گی۔“

Huntington, NY — On Monday, the New York State Assembly Asian Pacific American (APA) Task Force Chair Assemblymember Grace Lee and Assemblymember Steve Stern announced $10,000 in state funding for Pakistani Americans of Town of Huntington (PATH).

This award is a part of a historic $30 million investment in Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) New Yorkers in the FY 2025-26 State Budget, secured for the third consecutive year by the APA Task Force.

“For too long the AAPI community has been underfunded and overlooked in the state budget. This year, as Chair of the APA Task Force, I’m proud to have helped secure $30 million in funding for Asian American organizations in this year’s state budget, including this grant for PATH,” said Assemblymember Grace Lee, Chairwoman of the APA Task Force. “With this funding, PATH will be able to continue their critical work providing resources and services to local Pakistani American community members in Huntington.”

“As the state representative of my community, and as a member of the New York State Asian-Pacific American Task Force, I am proud to join in presenting this legislative grant to Pakistani Americans of the Town of Huntington (PATH), to support the critically important work they do to foster acceptance, understanding and unity among the diverse communities that make the Town of Huntington such a special place,” said Assemblymember Steve Stern. “PATH supports cultural events, education, and service.  This funding will enable the organization to have an even broader outreach and more meaningful impact for our entire community.”

Pakistani Americans of the Town of Huntington (PATH) is an organization committed to uplifting and supporting the local Pakistani American community. They arrange local soup kitchens and other resources for community members fallen on hard times.

“This critically important grant will allow PATH to expand its footprint and provide even more culturally responsive and inclusive programs in the Huntington community,” said Muhammad Ashraf, President of PATH.  “I thank Chairwoman Lee, Assemblymember Stern, and the entire New York State Assembly Asian Pacific American Task Force for this vital funding, which will support essential services for our local AAPI residents.”
