نیویارک ( اردونیوز) پاکستانی امریکن کمیونٹی کی اہم و نمائندہ تنظیم ”پاکولی نیویارک “ کے زیر اہتمام بانی پاکستان قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح کے یوم پیدائش اور کرسمس کی یادگار ، عظیم الشان اور منفرد تقریب نیویارک میں منعقد ہوئی ۔پاکولی کے بانی بشیر قمر اور پریذیڈنٹ شیخ توقیر الحق سمیت ساتھیوں کے زیر اہتما م تقریب میں تقریب گاہ کو قائد اعظم کے وسیع و عریض بیک ڈراپ ، بانیان پاکستان کی تصاویر ، سبز ہلالی پرچم کو نہایت ہی خوبصورت سے سجایا گیا تھا جبکہ تقریب میں پاکولی کے بورڈ ممبرز نے قائد اعظم ، علامہ اقبال ، لیاقت علی خان ،محمد علی جوہر، چوہدری رحمت علی ،محترمہ فاطمہ جناح سمیت بانیان پاکستان کے ”گیٹ اپ “ میں شرکت کرکے تقریب کو ایک تاریخی اور منفرد رنگوں سے سجا دیا ۔بانیان پاکستان کے گیٹ اپ میں پاکولی کے بورڈ ممبرز اور عہدیداران جب تقریب گاہ میں داخل ہوئے تو ہال میں موجود شرکاءنے ان کا کھڑے ہو کر تالیوں سے پرتپاک استقبال کیا ، خوش آمدید کہا اور ہا ل ، پاکستان زندہ آبادہ کے نعروں سے گونج اٹھا۔
تقریب کا آغاز سید تصور الحسن شاہ گیلانی نے آیات قرآنی کی تلاوت اور ترجمہ پیش کرکے کیا ۔ نظامت کے فرائض عتیق قادری نے ادا کئے ۔

PACOLI’s Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas Event Becomes a Memorable Community Celebration

A grand, memorable, and unique event celebrating the birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, along with Christmas, was held in New York under the auspices of the prominent Pakistani American community organization PACOLI New York.

The event was organized under the leadership of PACOLI Founder Bashir Qamar and President Sheikh Tauqeer ul Haq, along with their team. The venue was beautifully decorated with a large backdrop of Quaid-e-Azam, portraits of the founders of Pakistan, and the national green-and-white flag. Adding a historic and distinctive touch, PACOLI board members participated in traditional “get-ups” representing Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Liaquat Ali Khan, Muhammad Ali Jauhar, Chaudhry Rehmat Ali, and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah. As the participants entered the hall in these costumes, the audience welcomed them with a standing ovation, loud applause, and chants of “Pakistan Zindabad.”

The program began with the recitation and translation of verses from the Holy Quran by Syed Tasawur-ul-Hasan Shah Gilani, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and the United States. Atiq Qadri performed the duties of the master of ceremonies. Addressing the gathering, Bashir Qamar and Sheikh Tauqeer ul Haq welcomed the guests, extended congratulations on Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday, paid glowing tribute to the services of the founders of Pakistan, and also conveyed Christmas greetings to the Christian community.

In his speech, Bashir Qamar said that merely portraying the founders of Pakistan through costumes is not an easy task and gives a glimpse into the immense sacrifices they made during the struggle for independence. He emphasized the need to follow their footsteps and uphold the principles for which Quaid-e-Azam gave the nation a free and sovereign Pakistan.
Sheikh Tauqeer ul Haq stated that living nations always remember their heroes and make them their role models. He reaffirmed the resolve to make Pakistan stronger despite challenges and paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding the country’s defense.

During the ceremony, PACOLI presented awards to numerous prominent Pakistani American community figures from various fields in recognition of their services. Award recipients included Deputy Inspector NYPD Waheed Akhtar, Tasneem Qamar, Arif Soni, Riaz Babar, Naheed Bhatti, Talib Sheikh, Khurram Khan, Syed Tasawur-ul-Hasan Shah Gilani, Iqbal Khokhar, Aslam Baig, Azra Dar, Wakeel Ansari, Hamid Malik, Parvez Mahmood, Attorney Khalid Azam, Atiq Siddiqui, Bano Qazi, Amjad Nawaz, Zaman Afridi, Farooq Mirza, Malik Jameel, Arif Khan, Mujeeb Lodhi, and others.

PACOLI officials Tasneem Qamar, Shahid Ranjha, Safdar Humayun Qureshi, Arshad Hussain, Hanif Rehman, Atiq Qadri, Azfar Zaidi, Shagufta Khan, Shazia Hussain, and Alisha Bari were also honored with awards for their dedicated services. Youth members Sameer Hussain, Rebal ul Haq, Ramis ul Haq, Dua Tauqeer, Muhammad Azaan ul Haq, Alina Qamar, Ayan Khan, Fajar Zaidi, Sufyan Qureshi, Abu Bakr Ashiq, and others received citations, while Armesh Zafar was also presented a citation for serving PACOLI from Pakistan.

On this occasion, more than forty community leaders and PACOLI officials were gifted traditional Sindhi Ajrak and caps, presented in customized bags featuring the national flag and images of Quaid-e-Azam. The event also featured a colorful folk show highlighting the traditional attire, culture, and heritage of Pakistan’s four provinces.

The celebrations concluded with the joint cutting of Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday cake amid patriotic slogans, followed by the cutting of a Christmas cake and the exchange of Christmas greetings. Renowned artists Junaid Younus (Coke Studio) and Bilal Shafi Patel captivated the audience with their performances and national songs, making the evening truly memorable.
