امریکی ریاست الی نائے میں گلگت بلتستان سے تعلق رکھنے والی لاپتہ پاکستانی خاتون شافیہ مراد مردہ حالت میں برآمد

شکاگو،آرورا (اردو نیوز) امریکی ریاست الی نائے کے شہر آرورا میں گزشتہ ہفتے لاپتہ ہونے والی گلگت بلتستان سے تعلق رکھنے والی 32 سالہ پاکستانی خاتون شافیہ مراد مردہ حالت میں پائی گئی ہیں۔ حکام نے ان کی لاش ایک تالاب (ریٹینشن پانڈ) سے برآمد ہونے کی تصدیق کر دی ہے۔

آرورا پولیس کے مطابق پیر کی شام شافیہ مراد کی تلاش کے سلسلے میں جاری تفتیش کے دوران نارتھ فارنس ورتھ ایونیو اور کارپوریٹ بلیوارڈ کے قریب ایک تالاب میں مشتبہ شے دیکھی گئی۔ فائر فائٹرز نے لاش کو پانی سے نکالا، جس کے بعد کین کاونٹی کورونر آفس نے بدھ کے روز تصدیق کی کہ لاش شافیہ مراد کی ہے۔

کورونر ڈاکٹر مونیکا سلواکے مطابق دانتوں کے ریکارڈ اور فنگر پرنٹس کی مدد سے متوفیہ کی شناخت کی گئی۔ 3 جون کو ہونے والے پوسٹ مارٹم سے معلوم ہوا کہ شافیہ مراد کی موت ڈوبنے کے باعث ہوئی، تاہم زہریلے مادوں (ٹاکسیکولوجی) کے ٹیسٹوں کے نتائج کا انتظار کیا جا رہا ہے۔
پولیس کے مطابق شافیہ مراد کو آخری بار 28 مئی کو دوپہر تقریباً ڈیڑھ بجے آرورا کے شکاگو پریمیم آو¿ٹ لیٹ مال میں دیکھا گیا تھا، جو اس مقام سے ایک میل سے بھی کم فاصلے پر واقع ہے جہاں بعد میں ان کی لاش ملی۔

آرورا پولیس اور کین کاونٹی کورونر آفس اس بات کی تحقیقات کر رہے ہیں کہ شافیہ مراد تالاب تک کیسے پہنچیں اور ان کی موت کن حالات میں واقع ہوئی۔

Aurora Police Investigating Discovery of Deceased Individual During Search for Missing Woman

AURORA, IL – The Aurora Police Department is investigating the discovery of a deceased individual
found Monday evening in the area of North Farnsworth Avenue and Corporate Boulevard.
At approximately 7:35 p.m. on June 1, investigators were conducting follow-up activities related to an
ongoing missing person investigation when they observed an object in a retention pond east of North
Farnsworth Avenue, near Corporate Boulevard. APD Drone operators responded and assisted with a
further search of the area and confirmed the presence of a deceased individual.
The Aurora Fire Department responded and recovered the decedent from the water. The Kane
County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation into
the death.
At this time, the individual has not been positively identified, and the circumstances surrounding the
death remain under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for June 3, and the Kane County
Coroner’s Office will determine the official identification as well as the cause and manner of death.
The search activity that led investigators to the area was connected to the disappearance of 32-year-
old Shafia Murad, who was reported missing on May 28, 2026. Officers initially searched the outlet
mall and surrounding area after she was reported missing. As the investigation progressed,
detectives pursued additional leads and reviewed surveillance footage, eventually determining that
she had traveled to the area of North Farnsworth Avenue and Corporate Boulevard. Detectives were
conducting follow-up investigative efforts in that area on June 1 when the deceased individual was
located.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes
available and as appropriate.
